Introduction

Giving back

Though we're a technology company, our actual work revolves around supporting people.

We feel that it's important to support community initiatives and programs that support people as well. To accomplish this, we've established a process where organizations looking for help can submit a request, which will be reviewed.
Here’s how it works
It’s as easy as pie
Step 1
Review our Criteria
Download and review the guidelines at the bottom of the page to see if you qualify.
Step 2
Fill out a Submission
Send us information about your event, program or initiative that fits with our criteria.
Step 3
Submit your Request
Send us your request for review and we'll let you know quickly if it's been approved.

Why we have guidelines

Each year, we receive more requests for worthy causes than we can support.

Funding is awarded depending on initiative targets, budget, quality of submission, other donations that have been made, etc.  Funding is solely at our discretion and subject to annual budget as approved by the board.

While we do contribute to other causes, our primary focus is on initiatives that benefit youth in the communities in which we live and work. Ideally, we are looking for initiatives that make a long-term impact and activities or events must be linked to at least one of these areas to qualify for support:
  • Youth Programs
  • STEM Programs
  • Indigenous Culture Activities
  • Healthcare Initiatives
  • Infrastructure Initiatives
We will consider larger commitments with payments spread to a maximum of 5 years and given the need, we consider requests from non-profit or charitable organizations a higher priority.
It doesn't hurt to ask. If you have any questions about our guidelines, please reach out.

What we have to pass on

Because we receive more requests than we can possibly fund, we have developed targets to help guide us on what causes our organization will support.

We have also determined that we will pass on the following types of requests and/or costs:
  • Form letter appeals
  • Incomplete submissions
  • Post-event applications
  • Religious organizations or activities
  • Political organizations or campaigns
  • Individuals
  • Sports Teams
  • Clubs
  • Class Trips
  • Debt coverage
  • Publications
  • Video Productions
  • Event Advertising
  • Funded programs
  • Salaries or admin fees
  • Operating expenses
  • Travel or accomodations
  • Previous non-compliant recipients
